Philodendron is an animated greenpunk film that weaves together fairy tale and noir, where a community of workers on a future island preserve, from which a girl is sent to deliver a manifesto to a distant, mechanical city. While an ecological collapse two hundred years prior led engineers to create a techno-utopia but mistakenly cause the extinction of flora species, an administrative organization hid the existence of a handful of islands where plants still grow on the planet, which then became conservancies for the pleasure of the elite.
